Re did my Quail Pen What You Guys Think? Pic Heavy!!! Video added.

That's what I figured, but looks great. You could leave them in the pots and rotate them. Just use pots that are the same size, dig a hole and slip them in. Would always look nice. Its what I would have to do. Course I'd be buying new plants every month.

I sit there for a while just watching them everytime I get back from work, I just love my quails!.

I don't really know whether it would work, but you could try planting herb plants in there. Chickens generally leave herbs alone, FWIW.

Got to go back and find that emergency list we had going. Careful on cactuses. Some plants a long list are poisonos to the quail. Though you would think they would know. I thought it was stickied. I'll look and at least bring it forward.

It's lovely. What a wonderful environment for them. Better not show that to ours!

I'm surprised they would eat cactus.

You could plant things in there they like to nibble on but surround the plant with hardware cloth. Then they could nibble outside leaves of the plant but not kill the plant itself. I did something like that a couple of years ago with my ducks. I need to do it again. Red clover is a good candidate for quail.

Oh that'd be great I'm thinking on going plant shopping soon. Don't wanna put them in here and come back to a pen full with dead quails.
