My problem is turning the eggs. I have an auto turner in my 'bator but the holes are so big. And I'm at work during the day so can't turn 3 times a day. What do I do?

Did the eggs come to you in the little egg cartons?
If they did, What I did was cut the carton into small cups and set those cups on the turner holes to put the eggs in there.
Or you could try paper towels. Just cut pieces of paper towel and put the eggs on it inside the egg turner.

I have a bag of pillow stuffing I use for shipping. I am planning on putting some of it in the holes to keep them in the turner. I got some quail eggs cartons with some of the eggs that I got. I just layed the eggs on their sides in it, since they wouldn't stand up. Then I just tilted the cartons like you would for chickens eggs. I tried taping the cartons onto the tops of the turners, but that didn't work.

Does your turner have the little plastic holders that are individual, or is it just one big piece? A friend of mine is letting me use her bator for the winter, and hers has the individual egg holders. I will probably just take some of them off, then attach the quail egg cartons to those.

A friend is supplying me with the eggs. I used pieces of egg carton cups for the last batch, 2 out of 19 eggs hatched.
My 'bator has the one big piece for the auto turner. Guess I'll try the carton cups again.

Thanks!

The turner in my bator has the one piece plastic ones, I took some of the turner trays out last time and used the carton method for turning. I didn't have a very good hatch either, but my humidity was very aggravating with those, so I think that was part of the problem.
