Re-introducing hens

I have about 16 BR layers and I separated them about two weeks ago. 8 are in a chicken tractor and the others are in a coop. Can I combine them again? If so do I need to do this slowly or can I just combine again? Introducing new birds has been discussed but I am unsure about birds that were once together, separated, and then re-introduced.

Larger groups of the same size chickens are added much more easily than single chickens or small numbers.

Put them together after dark, and there should be very little squabbling in the morning.
