I'll second Silkiechicken's suggestion. You might have to oil up your hands and let that egg slide out with membrane just enough that you can find the opening (it is there). I'd not cut anything yet, but would keep area and hands well lubricated. Don't get impatient, observe closely and manipulate gently.

Do you have a way to get her into the shower with you ? Is she relaxed enought to do this ? Wear your undies and keep the hen out of the water. Turn the shower on as hot as you can stand it and HOLD her with her butt toward the water. Be absolutely sure you can get this done without her getting away from you.

Other wise you can you a sonic water vaporizer (not steam, this will harm her) and put her butt directly into the stream. The vets do this for large parrots that have this problem. It is the first method of attack to get this resolved.

If you can not get the egg out, then I can not tell you further how to do this. All I have is experience using the method above. I have never broken ther egg or manipulated it out.

Relaxaton is the key here. Use plenty of mineral oil for lubrication, this will not hurt her.

I am very sorry this has become a problem for you. A prolapse can be fixed, but it is a very long rehabilitation.
