Who likes to read? And what kinds of books do you like to read?

I love reading and my favorite books to read are westerns by William Johnstone
And my 2nd favorite books to read are books about racehorses

I LOVE to read and have a huge backlog on my Kindle. I'll read almost anything (BookTok included), but I tend to like sci-fi books, or stories about the human condition. Kazuo Ishiguro is one of my favorite authors.

I love reading. I have more than ten boxes of books, not including the ones still on the bookshelf. I mostly read history books and biographies :).

I have 3 shelves full of books and stacks of books everywhere

I like to read a lot of different types/subjects/genres. Philosophy, mystery, self-help, health, and just about anything well-written. If Michael Pollan or Bill Bryson wrote it, I'll read it, no matter what subject.

The best book I've read recently is "Chain Gang All-Stars" by
Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah.

I can't decide on 1 book but one of my favorite books right now is: Slaughter Of The Mountain Man by William Johnstone

You could say I'm a reader... This is my library, and I probably have close to as many eBooks as physical books.

There has been so much that I've wanted to read and I have a decent amount of mostly nonfiction books, but I haven't made much progress actually reading them. I should read some more of The Technological Society by Jacques Ellul for a paper I should have already started on, and I also recently got If Anyone Builds It, Everyone Dies. I got a book on the Cambrian explosion from a university library last year but only read a small amount of it, and I got it again recently and would like to read more. Unfortunately I've been wasting a lot of time on YouTube rather than reading.
These are some interesting passages from Ellul that I took screenshots of recently (from different parts of the book).

Lucky you! You have space for a lot more books. Hubby built a floor-to-ceiling bookshelf in the "library" and filled it. Now we have stacks of books on the floor again. :gig
My old house had a room with floor to ceiling shelves. They were all full and there were books stacked waist high close to filling the rest of the room. When I had the new house built, the library was a must. I have another room that is my media room with all of my CDs and DVDs.

The builder thought I was crazy and said that no one needed that many shelves. Then he saw how many books, CDs, and DVDs that I have.
