Granny's gone and done it again

Morning, all. I just got up from a 15- minute power nap. On our way to the church for a "celebration of life" for a dear member who passed recently. Taking hatching eggs with me. Beautiful day, 74° and BLUUUUE SKIIIES! Feel like it's been a long time siince we've seen those.

Sounds like a lovely Sabbath! Pretty much sounds lot like mine. Rest is as important to health as work, exercise, sunshine, fresh air, a nutritious diet, pure water, and temperence! People neglect rest or feel guilty about it. But it's necessary.
That's me, I feel guilty. Not sure why.

I had 2 miscarriages as well. Breaks your heart.
I lost three fairly early and was told by the doctors that I'd never have children. Mine are true blessings, unexpected and unplanned, but happy and healthy!
I had a dream many years ago where I saw my grandmother rocking three pinpoints of light. I know that all four of them are patiently waiting for me. It's a genuine comfort.

How beautiful!

Happy Sunday everyone. Day started at 66 Degrees. Sun went under cloud cover so the temp has dropped to 56 here and it's windy so we are staying pretty close the house. Did go out to the barn and toss some small wood rounds onto the pile. A HAM friend in town had a tree taken down last fall and gifted us the wood so it is waiting to be split.

I'm just sore and tired today. Did lots of walking with Pi yesterday...trust me, it's like power walking with her when you go in the woods. It's like gotta go gotta sniff gotta go what's that gotta sniff it OH! Something moved, gotta go sniff it....for a half an hour before she finally starts to wind down. Oh to have her youthful curiosity about the world and her energy. I told her she was really going to love spring and summer and so far she is.

Then coming back to the house later with Rocki, I tangled my foot up in some run cover netting that had somehow wound up loose on the ground and did a face plant in front of the barn. Poor Rocki was like...mom....Mom....MOM you OKAY?! Luckily the grass there is getting high enough to be a bit of a cushion. Mostly damaged my pride although my rib cage is a bit sore today.

So today just taking it easy and doing as little as I can. Hopefully my body will get used to being active again sometime.

@Granny Hatchet, Celebration of Life. Around here they have them at a later date after interment instead of a funeral and visitation. They get together at a church or home to remember the departed loved one and celebrate their lives in memories.

Granny, exactly. Funerals tend to be sad and depressing. A COL is a nice alternative, a joyful look back at a person's positive influence on people's lives. Ronnie was a real treasure, so it was a very nice gathering. He'll be missed.
