Wooohoooo! 20/21 hatched. I think we're done. Of the 21 we put into lockdown the only one not hatched is the little silkie egg DD will be disappointed. So, no shipped eggs made it out of 4. 3 clears and 1 that went into lockdown originally had a floating air cell which developed into a humongous saddle shape. I think the chick ran out if room to position itself. All looks still and quiet in there.

blue copper maran hatched
and 3 more hatched but had to be culled
making for 11 total hatched.
upon opening the unhatched eggs I found 7 we're full term and should of hatched and 8 weren't full term.

I chipped away some of the silkie shell and found it in position and inner pipped but never reached the outer shell. I knew that air cell was going to be a problem - should've put a chip in it sooner. Grrrh. But anyway, very happy with results otherwise! 20 out of original 25. 4 clears removed total, 1 died in shell. All but 1 of my unshipped purchased eggs and 100% of my backyard eggs hatched! No shipped

12 set, 5 clears, 7 into lock down, 7 fuzzy butts in the brooder!

Part 2 so far.....6 purchased, 1 clear five in lock down.

lock down is the last 3 days incubating when you stop turning the eggs and increase humidity for hatch.
