I am about ready to clal it quits with incubator hatching. I have an LG and a Hovabator (the on that manually needs setting) and after hundreds of dollars on eggs between last year and this spring so far have failed with the exception of a couple here and there, I am ready to give up! Why is it that out of 3-4 dozen eggs in a setting do the majority of them quit and only a couple hatch? They are quitting at different times of the incubation. So I broke down and bought the Hovabator 1588 Pre-set and if this fails me, thats it...everything is going! So in another 2.5 weeks, watch for my bators to be for sale if this one fails me too! LOL

I am so sorry to hear about your miss fortune. I have a Hovabator 1588 and it works great. I hope it will do the same for you!! Again I am so sorry to heat that.

Thank you, it is just so heartbreaking to see them fertil when you candle them at about a week, then I allways candle another week later to see about quitters so I dont have to worry about the smelly exploding egg, and that is when I see most of them have quit. I do seem to have a problem with keeping the humidity at a contant level, allways seems to fluxuate between 40-50 and I am wondering if that could be the main problem. A friend tole me she doesnt add water till 4 days before lockdown, maybe I will try that next time with this new bator.

The humidity may be the problem, but with the Hovabator it should be easier. I can understand about it being heartbraking. I have been through the same thing.
