Real Christmas tree question

I've wanted to, but the price was just too much for us. We tend to get a Christmas houseplant, and decorate that for as long as it survives. Our Christmas 'tree' this year was a really freaking neat branching cactus....but our bunnies stripped the poor thing as high as they could reach. It's more like...a Charlie Brown cactus. Ah well.

I did that with each one of my sons first Christmas....dig the hole ahead of time, all three of mine are still growing to this day...first one was 1971. trick keep it well water in the house , i took ours down on the 27th .....don't forget to water in on warm days in the winter.Root will grow thru the winter, great start for spring growth.

yes a few good points but about a week indoors is fine....just little info Dad worked with trees 60 + YEARS i learn all i know about tree to him, not to brag but it was ALOT ...this is just one part. If tree has a good ball and number one thing keep it water. No reason it shouldn't live, also in your area think you may have alot of clay, if so DON'T PLANT TO DEEP ...top of ball 2 in above in clay, level with normal soil. never to deep , biggest mistake newbe make planting balled trees.
