You know I really don't like a mystery, LOL. Have to find out why things happen. At least, I think we've figured this one out now. What is interesting is that, unless someone just got one of these barred chicks to hatch and didnt tell me, they only happen infrequently. This is the first one I've hatched myself and there have been alot of babies hatched here over the last two years.

Posting updated pics of the barred Orp cockerel for you, and his full brother below.

And the younger brother, who is what I would expect from a blue Orp over RIR/Buff Orp.

Whats interesting to me is the two different shades of barring he has - light on the hackles, but dark on the wings, breast, and back... hmmm..
