For the past two years, we've had a lovely group of ladies (BO, EE, SLW, BA), but they're getting on in years, so we decided to add a few more sisters.
Our hens are so sweet that I could add the 2-3 week old chicks in with them right now, if it weren't for my cat (they free-range).

This is the really weird thing though... the 3-week old White Rock attacked my BA! It flew up at her face 3 times, while she just stood there looking confused.

Please tell me it's possible to have a very aggressive pullet... My daughter is going to be devastated if Garlic is a roo. :(

It is possible that the white chick is a pullet. Pullet chicks quarrel and mock fight among themselves. "Protecting' herself against a perceived threat is not unusual.

I have a couple chicks "chest bumping" and acting tough that are a week younger, I figured they must be roos? One of them even puffed up and tried to look tough and tried bumping my hand when I was collecting all of the chicks to clean out the brooder...
