Really big rooster.

I have been wondering about his size for awhile. Then we visit a family with a few roosters that are much older than he is and they are really small in comparison. Pictures don't due his size justice.

Is there anything I can do (that won't hurt him) to cover those spurs, should he decide that he wants to come after me?
I get him into a position where I can get his head to the ground and it helps for awhile, but doesn't last.

Thank you for your assistance.

Large rooster reminds me of the RI RED that came with 100 Leghorn rooster chicks in March in the 1940's . He finally matured enough by October he would try his success of crowing . That was rather pathetic and sounded more like the bull . But if the 2 ft. deep stock tank was full he could stand on the ground beside it to get a drink .

You can blunt them if you want. Just trim the end off. Keep going till you get blood, just a drop mind you.
