My one runner has started coughing just today but I'm worried about it. They were left outside in the drizzle. I was wondering if it's a chill or something else. The others seem fine it's just my baby girl who's coughing. The cough is thick and sounds mucusy. I don't know what to do. I've looked up many illnesses it could be by the symptoms are all vague and don't really help narrow it down. I would really like to hear suggestions on what it could be and treatment for it. I'm not tight with money but vets aren't readily available for ducks around here.

The first thing I would do is isolate her from the rest of the flock. I would probably get some ivermectin or equivalent from Tractor Supply and start her on it, BUT I'm no expert. That would just be my gut instinct if it were me.

Have you looked in her mouth at all? If so, do you see anything in her mouth, roof or bottom?

She would just chew on my fingers if I were to try. I plan on picking up some soon but I won't be able to for a few days. Any advice in the mean time?

How is she today? Put some Apple cider vinegar into their drinking water. 1 Tab to a gallon of water this may help her clean out her nares and can kill certain bacteria.

Best option would be vet care.
