That's quite all right. I'm really invested in Poppy's wellbeing now, so I like the updates. I've been meaning to ask how Poppy is doing but I'm all over the place these days.
My bunch are doing about the same, some puffy cheeks here and there. Tomorrow is the last day of Doxycycline, so I'm hoping that will sort it all out finally. Now I'm little bit worried about them getting a cold. It's been raining cat's and dogs here, and the poor creatures have to be locked up in a run for most of the day so they can't get to the pond and drink unmedicated water. They get all muddy and dirty, I feel so sorry for them.
In the afternoon when they finish the meds I let them into the pond, they are always so happy to bathe.
Sadly we seem to have a marten problem. The chickens just started laying in the summer so I thought that's why there are fewer eggs than you'd expect. I know it sometimes takes time for them to lay reliably. But yesterday morning I found a headless chicken in the run. I had a marten stealing eggs like 3 - 4 years ago, so I guess she's back. I don't mind her stealing the eggs too much, I have more than enough but biting my chickens heads off is not very polite of her. Do martens kill ducks too? I hope not.
