Really Sad Day

I set 40 silkie eggs on Monday night. I was so excited to see the results. Everything looked great. This morning I woke up and the temps spiked to 108! I am just sick. I will wait till day 7 to candle and see but I am afraid I know the outcome.

Depends on how long it was that high, others have hatched that high, search 'temp spike'

they may be a hair early, also it take a long time for the inside of the egg to change temp.

When you say early? Is that to my advantage?

Neither advantage nor disadvantage, they may hatch before the normal expected day- or not.
