Really soft straw?

Does anyone know a really soft straw for bedding? I used to get compressed straw bales at Atwoods that were a very pale yellow and the pieces were silky soft. But they are out nationally (which tells me maybe discontinued). I have an indoor goose and I change his bedding daily. I'm using regular hay now but it is so rough and pokey. I want the soft stuff back. Anyone found any they like?

Try Tractor Supply. They carry compressed straw which is really soft. I use the straw from TSC for nesting boxes. Straw I get from the feed store is used for bedding for the goats and ducks. It is not as soft as the compressed straw from TSC.

Hay for rabbits (to eat) is soft. At least were I live. It might depend on the region where you live.
