I just got my chicks from McMurray on Wednesday, I noticed they
switched up the order a bit but I did not worry to much. I asked for 25 Red Rangers, 25 Cornish Roasters, 5 Golden Campines, 5 GLW, 5 WLRC, 5 Silver Leghorns, and 5 Egyption Fayoumis. I was reading over the list of what they gave me today and it made me laugh!

What the heck Beverly, why are you giving me a "Free Extra" rooster, like I asked for 2 roosters... I mean thanks for the extra meat birds but still... Also I am not sure why they gave me 26 Cornish Roasters in replacement for my 25 Red Rangers, I am happy that I was given 2 free meat birds but not happy that I was given, and charged for, an extra meat bird and then given a free rooster like it was some amazing gift lol. I am still overall very happy with this order though because there was only one DOA and no deaths since then. Not sure what I am going to do with my extra gift though

Ordered 75 birds and got 80, cant really complain though, I just thought it is funny that they gave me a free rooster without asking me if I wanted it, this is a first time thing for me

Some hatcheries like to pass along extra males whenever possible, otherwise most are ground up or euthanized as people don't want them.
