Rear end coming out of 4 day old chick

I need some help, quickly! This 4 day old baby has it's rear end coming out. What do I need to do???

I had this happen to me with one of my chicks this year. Get a Q-tip and put some Prep-H, or vaseline, on the tip of it. VERY gently push it back inside. Here is my thread about it with very helpful directions: https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=300891 Good luck!

I had this happen early this summer with a 4 week old chick. She had poo all over her and it was really raw. For 3 days I continually washed the area in warm water and chlorhexidine, would apply preH and push it back in. It kept coming back out. One morning I didn't want to deal with it anymore...I was thinking of having her euthanized. I went to work without checking on her, but when I got home that evening and checked on her it was all back in place and she has been fince since! What did help, which I had read on here was to push it in and hold it in for a least a minute, to allow the nerves to settle down and the contractions to stop. In this case persitsence paid off.
