Living with baby chicks is sometimes tragic, sometimes agonizing, and sometimes just plain wonderful! Here's some pics of baby Pudding, born alone in the world and raised by hand. For all the horrible things that humans do to animals at least there are some times when humans can help, and, in my experience, the animals always respond.

Whenever I've had chickens living in the house for Injury sickness etc, they always end up friendlier. Your going to have a good buddy there.
