Hi! What are the top reasons that chicks in egg all the way growed and then died in the egg?

I suspect it's most commonly because of poor development due to off temps and humidity. I have three thermometers going sometimes just to try and find one that is accurate. the trouble is different enzymes govern growth of various tissue compartments. some of these enzymes function normally at low temps and some don't, so if the temp is off, you can end up with some tissue fully developed and some not. take the lungs for instance, going from passive diffusion of gasses through the shell membrane and super low metabolism to active respiration, waking consciousness and ramped up metabolism without properly functioning lungs could prove impossible. making sure that temp and humidity is truly correct is key to a good hatch, IMHO.
