Rebeccah Kidded!

Becky kidded tonight at 11:30 with a HUGE buckling!

We named him Wolverine, Wolfie for short. He's sired by my Nigi boy, BBB...and he looks JUST like him minus the blue eyes (Wolfie's are brown).

Becky has freshened with a beautiful udder, better than some Nigerians (she's a Pygmy) and I can't wait to milk her. She was super easy to get colostrum out of!

Yep kidding seasons are just so much fun!

I had sort of decided that Becky didn't take the first two breedings due to being dehorned, but I was wrong. She didn't take the first breeding but did take the second, smack in the middle of loosing her horns. Interesting. She also didn't really build her udder to tight until the day she kidded...left us guessing.

Dang Kate! He is almost as cute as Prancer! I hope all is going well with the rest of your animals. We have just one more sheep left to lamb and we should be done for several months!

Man he does look big.. glad the kidding went well.. still counting down days for my babies to come (end of April).. patience.. patience.. patience...
