Rebuilding Run

Put up the 3rd wall today. Hopefully will have it connected to the coop and the roof rafters up tmorrow. Then just have to secure the tin roofing panels.

Update from last weekend...put up the rafters, cut the cross supports for the rafters and reinforced the door and hung it. I ended up building larger than the plans so i didn't have enough roofing panels to put up the tin roof. That will be this weekend. All seems to be going well so far. I think the tricky part will be connecting to the coop this weekend.

Any reason you laid the rafters flat and aren't using purlins between rafters and metal?
Oh, you're in NC, so no snow real load to deal with.
I am planning to put some supports in between the rafters but load is not really a concern where i live so it will be minimal.

Got the roofing up this weekend and added more hardware to the door for security. It was a swamp in the backyard so it wasn't a fun day working in the mud. Taking tomorrow off work because the kids are on spring break. Will try to get the connection to the coop done by the end of the day if all goes well. I am ready for this thing to be done!

@aart you liking the post means alot. Ive been on here for a bit over a yr and your input and regular commentary on coops, runs, etc has influenced quite a bit of the finished product here.
