Hi, all!
I rescued 2 hens from a bad situation. I've treated them for worms, lice, and one for an impacted crop and vent gleet.
It's been 25 days of quarantine. The only remaining issue is the gleet. Zero other symptoms. I was going to have them tested, but the chicken vet is still closed and will likely be until September.
These new birds have never seen grass or open sky. I'm really wanting to let them out.
1. Should I wait until the vent gleet clears up?
2. Can I let them out BUT keep them separate from my existing flock?
3. Can they share a free range area at different times? Like let them out, put them away, then let my other girls out.
I overthink things, yes, and I worry. I know there are risks. But if you had my situation, how would you proceed?
