Rec'd Two Orders w/High losses - Help anyone!

We just received an order from McMurray on Monday, May 10th - we're in Western New York, about 20 miles east of Buffalo. We ordered 10 meat birds (Cornish Roasters) and 15 layers (2 Speckled Sussex, 2 Barred Rocks. 2 Silver-Laced Wyandottes, 2 Black Australorps, 2 Black Giants, 2 Buff Orpingtons, and 3 Red Stars), and everyone arrived in fine shape, no losses. My Post Office called at 6:15 Monday morning, and I went and picked them up right away. One Orpington looked a little iffy, but recovered after drinking some water. All are active, eating and growing normally. We ordered from them twice last year (meat birds only, Cornish X's) and lost only 2 out of 58 chicks. I wonder what's going on with MM, and why their record is so spotty.
