Hello fellow byc! About 5 weeks ago I ordered my "starter flock" of 3 rhode island red hens, 3
Barred Plymouth Rock hens, and one Black Copper Maran roo. Well now looking at them I realize that 3 of my reds are not reds, and one might be a roo? anyone have any idea? I don't know a lot about different breeds of chickens. the one I'm holding is the one I think is a roo
.

The main reason I think hes a roo too is because he is 'bumping' with my known roo who is also much bigger then him. How big to easter eggers get?

I have a few Easter Egger hens that are about a year old. I would say that they weigh around 5 to six lbs.

Also, depending on age - the bird with it's head up in the background of picture two may well also be a roo - how old are the birds?

Yes, in that second picture you have two roos. The two dark ones are both male. :( Sorry you didn't have very good luck. I love the look of your flock especially that cream colored pullet in the 2nd photo.

My flock is all 6 weeks old. and the second roo in the back of the second pictures is a
Black Copper Marans. I did order him on purpose. my orginal flock got eaten by a weasel at5 weeks old :/

In this last pic, the bird in the front is male, the back is female. I'm guessing the bird in back here is the same as in front in the bottom pic above? Agree you have two Easter egger pullets, one EE cockerel, and one Marans cockerel. With that luck, you might want to post a pic of your Rocks, unless you're confident of sexing them.

Where did you order from? I'd sure be contacting the seller and holding them accountable. An Oops rooster isn't that big a deal, it does happen from time to time. But you ordered a totally different breed than you got. The chicks don't look at all alike, different down colors, combs, leg colors, beards.
