Recently moved in chickens.

Hi. I recently (just a week ago) got chickens from someone. She said they were laying at her house but it has been a week and nothing yet. The ages according to her are 2 yo, 1.5 yo and 9 mos. Could they be stressed? Is the move affecting them? Help. I love my chickens and can't wait to see the first egg.

Very normal. It can take up to about a month for them to lay.

My experience has been that they will continue or resume quickly if they were laying. In fact, one Leghorn laid an egg at her old home and laid another when arrived at her new home. But chickens are not programmed to follow any protocol. I would say as a hobbyist, if they look and behave healthy, then patience is the only thing to do.
