I know someone told me that there was such a thing, or at least that there was speculation of a recessive feathered shank gene.

I had a chick hatch from my splash OEGB's overnight that has feathered shanks. I've never seen a feather-legged OEGB and there is no way possible for this chick to be a cross breed. I keep the splash OEGB penned up or in a cage when I have to take them out of their pen.

So explain to me how I have an OEGB chick with feathered legs?
