Recognise this worm?

Hello All,

Am relatively new to keeping chickens. Have three. Since two days ago noticed 'worms' in some of the faeces, particularly in the evenings. Want to be sure that we treat this correctly. Would appreciate help identifying the type of worms and possible treatments. Thanks in advance.

Thank you for replying so quickly. Do you have any recommendations for treatment? Have heard of using 'wormout gel' and / or diatomaceous earth....

For actual worm treatment I would use Flubenole 5% (double dosage for tapeworms)or Fenbendazole.

DE does not help with de-worming an actual infestation.

Where are you situated? In some countries it might be rather difficult to get Flubenole but other dewormers will be available.

The correct dosage for tapeworm treatment is: 1,2 g per kg feed for 7 consecutive days.
During these 7 days the chickens should only be fed with the medicated chicken feed. No additional treats or else on the side.
