Recommend An Incubator For Me

i have a brower tophatch for incubation (and hatching if i don't have staggered hatches) and then a cheap LG still air for my hatcher. it works great! i have no complaints on my brower tophatch, i love it! i've never had any temp fluctuations and it works great for all types of eggs. i loved that it came with a turner and fan and i love the clear top. everyone has their own personal preference, but i love my tophatch and the LG is allright, it works well as a hatcher, i can't imagine incubating in it though

I also have a Genesis 1588 & it keeps the temerature at a constant 99.5 degrees.

My Genesis 1588 does! My room temp. is always going up and down some, no major changes, but it does fluctuate between the low seventies to mid eighties. I've never had any problems with the temps. staying right at 100 to 101.

CONGRATS on the purchase of your new bator dangerouschicken!!! You will LOVE it!

Happy hatching!

I cant stand mine somtimes, like this morning I got 3 different temp, 1 said 100. 1 said 95 and 1 said 97, it was holding stable at 100-101. I read about the Genesis and it said it still needs a stable room temp ??

What kind of thermometers are you using? Are they all digital? That could be your problem with the readings. I keep two digital and one glass thermometer in my bator. I know the glass will be accurate so it helps me to check against the two digital thermometers.

I have 3 also, 2 digital with the humidity reading on them and 1 that came with the dumb thing, that one was posted on a peice of plastic and paper which has now ripped due to chicks hatching on it and getting wet... I belive it's pretty accurate, just seem like 1 day they are pretty close to each other and the next all off from each other... drives me crazy, doesn't help that im preggo and EVERYTHING seems to drive me crazy latly

Revelu and Dangerous Chicken, both of yours should go out today. I had them drop shipped from GQF and asked for expediated shipping for both so you should get them in just a few days.

On a different note, I spoke to Brooke last night and we discussed offering a "trade in" on table top incubators such as the top hatch if you want to buy a GQF or a Brinsea incubator. I could canabilize the trade-in bators for parts or offer them as used to someone who is dead set on that type bator but doesn't want to spend alot of money. What do you guys think?

Thanks
Tony

Thank you so much Tony! I love supporting those that support BYC! Great store, btw. I added you to the poultry resources links on my blog.

Really excited about the BATOR!

Tony, what a great idea. I'm actually thinking of keeping my tophatch for a hatcher and ordering the 1588 from you in the next couple of weeks.
