Hello Jeff and welcome to BYC. You found an Amazing Poultry Community to be a part of with many knowledgeable members who are willing to help you along your journey with any questions you may have. Enjoy
I sell my eggs and there are people who swear they can only eat brown or white eggs. They won't grasp the concept that the only difference in the eggs is the color of the shells depending on the breed. The same feed is fed to all of the birds so all eggs are the same and when you crack open a shell they are white on the inside of the shell. I also raise White Leghorns and Dark Brown Leghorns. My White Leghorns are my best layers. I also raise Rhode Island Reds and Rhode Island Whites. My Rhode Island Whites are my best brown egg layers. You will find a lot of good information here Good luck with your plans and have fun...
HELLO
It depends on what the size of the coop is, size of run and if you will be free ranging your chickens. On which breed/s to get. How many will you be getting?
I know people too that won't eat anything other then white eggs. I think it is silly. but we all have our quirks.
