Tommorow hubby starts work on our girl's new run and we'd like to landscape next to the outside of it for everyone's benefit. I'm trying to think edible, medicinal, likes to live under an oak tree in South Florida.

What has worked well for you?

Plants we are considering:
Grapes
Passionflower
Neem
Palmettos
Pineapple Sage
Moringa
heirloom roses
seminole pumpkin (maybe to heavy?)

Looking forward to your ideas!

Thanks,

Kate

They all look good to me. I am a firm beliver that chickens know what is gonna kill them and they don't eat it. I've got morning glories. Supposedly they cause convulsions. My chickens have been eating them for the last 2 years.

Just a suggestion.

Keep it just far enough back from the run where they wont get it! Mine have trashed all my gardens because I let them loose all the time
