I'm pretty sure Annie Oakley, my 7 month old EE, has Infectious Coryza. Yesterday I noticed that her comb and the area surrounding one eye had a lot of swelling. She also had white bubbles in the swollen eye and was having trouble breathing with her mouth shut.
I separated her from the others and have been treating her with terramycin eye drops and sulfoxine (sp) liquid medicine. She's alert and active, able to eat, but still suffering from the symptoms. Can someone who has dealt with this before and chosen not to cull the bird please reply and let me know how long the road to recovery is? Thanks!

By the book, should expect it to run 2-3 weeks with swelling down by 10-14 days. Could be slower to respond if there is MG or secondary infections involved as well.

Annie's swelling was down within three days and I allowed her to return to the flock. She appeared healthy and was symptom free. Alas, I found her dead on the floor of the coop this morning. I have no idea if her death was related to the illness or not. So sad.
