Long post ahead:

I’ve been having this dream every few days recently where I’m out for a walk and I come across a crude, fresh grave half-hidden just off the road. I always get the feeling I’m being watched, and sometimes I spot a figure slinking through the trees behind me. In a couple dreams I tried to call the police but he physically stopped me. Somehow I mange to get away.

Tonight this took a darker turn:
I was walking along the same road when I saw something in the ditch somewhat near the grave. I looked and saw it was a little girl, about seven. There were two dead children lying next to her. She was very thin and emancipated with huge round eyes, like a cat. She could not see well and kept asking if I was mommy. I picked her up and was trying to get away without attracting that man’s attention when he rose up out of nowhere like a giant and attacked me…trying to strangle me. I fought back, but I had the girl and I was losing…And then I woke up.

Also in the first dream I learned the grave is of the murdered wife.

I would really like to stop dreaming this.
Two things that have helped me break out of nightmares/recurring dreams.
  1. Call out to Jesus. He's come through for me more than once.
  2. Try lucid dreaming. While awake, I routinely practice (in my mind) how I will handle specific dream imagery. You could do something like, "If I see a grave, I'm going to fill it with flowers." I try to picture what I'm going to do as vividly as possible. I'll rehearse it as I go to sleep, sometimes imagining how the dream could transition to something pleasant and happy. Eventually, you will become lucid when faced with this dream. Now you're in control and nothing can hurt you.
Hope this ends for you soon. I'm sure the stress of an upcoming life change isn't helping.

I have had recurring dreams or variations on a theme where I am either walking or driving (usually walking) up a hill or road that just becomes steeper and steeper! It usually ends with me crawling up, and the funny thing is I’m usually not alone and trying to carry on a casual conversation with whomever it is that I’m walking with, all the while trying to get traction. The road/hill always ends up just completely vertical by the end and I always wake up before I ever reach the top!

Another one I’ve had is feeling like my mouth is unbearably full of a sand-like texture, and I can’t get rid of it no matter what I do. I used to have these all the time. I haven’t had it in a while thankfully, but I’ve woken up on multiple occasions actually spitting trying to get rid of the feeling! Funny, and also kind of gross. 😂 They were never scary dreams, but always annoying.

Interesting what our brains come up with! I too have had the “back in college and can’t find my classes” dreams a lot, too! So stressful! But I wake up so relieved. “Oh, yeah, I graduated 8 years ago. No worries!” 🤣

I am SO GLAD to hear I'm not the only one that has something like this. It makes me insane to wake up spitting on my pillow. Haven't had it happen in a while, either.

I AM KNOCKING ON WOOD FOR BOTH OF US!🤞

I’m not alone! Hoping we both are rid of this ridiculousness permanently, too! :fl :celebrate

That is very scary! Ask St. Kevin and St. Micheal to give you good dreams! It works!
