red broilers 4 weeks old are SMALL when can ... my red broilers from Ideal are so much smaller and slow growing than my cornish x my cornish x are still walking at 8 plus pounds and I want to process all at once...

What can I do? wait 2 more weeks and have 4 and 10 lb birds or any suggestions? I have a processor and want to make one trip. I am feeding all of them 12 on and 12 off and so far so good....

What age do you process red broilers? I think they are cornish/rir if I am correct? any ideas or suggestions

I can wait to "taste test" them both and see which is easier and better tasting....

they DO grow slower than cornishX Nothing grows faster than them....

expect your chickens to be at freezer camp around 13 weeks....

What weight do your normally get for a red broiler at 13 weeks? have you gone any longer for a bigger chicken?

Which red broilers? There are dozens of "red broilers" out there. You may not be comparing apples to oranges if you chose a "slow cornish" style.

These are Ideal's red broilers... I think they are RIR over cornish? Have you ever used them? they are 4 weeks old now... and starting to look like meat birds....

What age will you suggest I process these?

The Ideal Red & Black broilers are "Slow Cornish". 12 weeks is the ballpark for them.
