I got a bad lamp this year...I think my connection was faulty. The bulb was hard to screw in, and when I would turn it on the bulb would light up and then randomly go off...when I would poke it or move it the bulb would come back on!
I should have gotten one that worked properly...but it got me thru this spring when I needed it....I will not be using it again! Way too risky.
Of course, now I have a broody hen that does all the work for me.
They make the best heat lamps ever!
