Red eggs

Hi,

I have noticed a few reddish eggs going around. Wynette has the picture attached to her user name which has a red egg. I am keen to find out which breed lays them. Thanks for your help.

My RIR pullet lays a "reddish" egg...

When I asked this very question, someone said that "red" is referring to "terracotta" which looks like a reddish brown. Is it Welsummers that do that color? I can't remember.

If anyone has a red egg, please post a picture. And no cheating by posting a colored easter egg.

Eggs white, maran, welsummers

Both Marans and Welsummers lay dark terra cotta "red" eggs. The shade can vary widely. Wynette has some of the best ever!
