Hey,

I have two baby geese which are about 2 weeks old. One of them has a red eye and the iris does not move anymore. The other one has a swollen face since this morning.
Does anyone know what that might be and how to treat it? They live together with three Serama Chickens. Most of the day they spend outside in the garden, the other times inside in a cage with the chickens. They both still behave normally, eat, drink, poop etc. They get along with the chickens well, the rooster is aggressive very rarely. I do not think that he has something to do with it.

It’s possible it could be an allergic reaction, what bedding are they on?

Unfortunately many respiratory illnesses can manifest with swollen faces, eyes, nares too and unfortunately it’s very serious, you can get them VetRX, vitamins, apple cider vinegar to boost their immune systems but for something this severe they my not cure it.
These babies could need antibiotics, possibly antifungals, if it’s viral there are antivirals for certain illnesses but often all you can do is keep them as comfortable and stable as possible to give them the chance to clear the virus on their own.
Goslings are more susceptible to illnesses than adults so I would strongly advise getting them seen by a vet if that’s possible for you. I would also completly seperate them from your other birds Incase it’s something contagious, though if it is the goslings more than likely contracted it from the others.

I’ve got my fingers crossed they pull through, the fact that they’re still eating and drinking is an excellent sign.
