The first thought (and I'm not kidding) was an old girlfriend's mom...

On the odd chance, that you are trying to nurse her (and her sister) back to health...I'd say reconsider and let nature take it's course :( ... I'd say also, that BYC is likely not the best place to get feedback on nursing 2 old ladies back to health...but then again I've visited WebMD and maybe this place ain't so bad?

But I think it's more likely that you have some long legged, red faced chickens in your care... in which case Welcome!... there are a lot of friendly, helpful chicken people here...

So maybe post some photos, just to rule out ex-girlfriend's mothers, or if it is her, please no photos, ;) it's been years and years, but time wasn't kind to that woman then, and I suspect it's been less kind since.... but then again, I'm not much to look at these days either, so who am I to throw stones?
