Red Featherless Area

    Our almost year-old Barred Rock hen has this featherless area under her vent. She is acting perfectly normal, running around and foraging, and we got an egg from her just this evening. Attached is a photo of her backside with the featherless area. Is this bacteria or something? Any help appreciated.
