As my daughter and I started past front door to go downstairs a Red Fox tried to go after chickens in a pen in our line of site outside. Chickens gave alarm followed by three dogs converging rapidly in the disturbance with two dogs giving fox a short chase while remaining dog thoroughly checked perimeter of pen. Other two dogs came back before all three began scent marking where fox had been. I can expect these incursions when weather nasty as dogs can't smell or hear as well and fox appears to know it.
