Hi Everyone!

This is our first year raising Red Golden Pheasants. We have 1 pair - approx. 2 yrs old - so far we have only had 1 egg about a week ago. We are concerned that she has had no more. Is this normal? If not, we would appreciate any ideas to increase production. Thank you in advance for your input - the newbies! : )

Being as you only have a pair, could be the rooster is harassing the hen too much? Do you have some hiding places for her...several perches up high, so she can get away from him? Do you have nest boxes or does she lay, wherever, in the pen?

Im thinking about getting three golden pheasant chicks in the hope that I get a male and female at
least , will a pair be fine ? Or will I
have to get a couple more females ?
