Will Golden Pheasants set and hatch out their eggs?? Or should I get my incubator out and dusted off?

It's trial and errror. Some hens wil set with no problems while others want nothing to do with it.If she feels comfortable with her surroundings with lots of bushes to hide in,you may have a better chance of her setting.
In N.H.,Tony.

I like your answer better Tony.LOL! I been lucky with having pheasants set for me. But like you said. I got so much branchs, limbs and hay in my pen right now I cant see crap till I go in for the easter egg hunt.

I agree, had them in both 'bare bones' (only perches and nest boxes on ground) or 'messy' with plantings, whole limbs cut with leaves on and placed around with nest boxes on all levels from ground to 5 feet up. Those in 'messy' were far more likely to set. everything else were equal- 12' x 60 pens with one adult and one or two juvenile males plus 4-6 females and no other species with them.

I also often got told parent raised would be totally wild however they were tame, although the parents were brooder raised and tamed quite well so they had no fear of me and the mothers taught the chicks I was not something to be feared.
