Red heat bulbs

250w definitely was too hot for my small brooder. I had to trade it in on a 100w lamp. It's so hot here that I shouldn't need it too long. It's 80+ in the box with no light at all!

Only red bulbs I could find that were less that 250 watt were at Petsmart. They had 150s for the reptile cages. 250 was WAY to hot for my babies and I could not find one at my Walmart

I use a pretty big brooder, so the 250W jobs are the ticket.
If you get a dimmer cord, it has the dimmer built in.
