Red Hens - What are they?

That's 4 NH Red votes, 4 RIR/Production Red votes, I need a tie breaker.

I am treating the scaly leg mites, I just got the hens.

It looks like NH Red to me...had a NH gal and she was an excellent layer!

This is one of my hatchery RIR's, not nearly as dark as my breeder RIR.

I have, RIRs, NHs and Production Reds...and they look like my New Hampshire reds. So I vote for NHs.

Haha, wouldn't it just be funny if some how we figured out their history and really they were RIR x NH's?

Either way it's great they have a new home and can regain legs as smooth as silk again.

Sorry . I don't vote RIR . It kinda looks like the meat chickens I bought last year . We bought 25 of the cornish x , and 20 of the what they called cornish broilers . I ended up keeping two of the "cornish broilers" just as an experiment to see if they layed well or not . They actually do pretty good , But eat and poop alot . Here's some pics to clarify .

Ah ha, if they are in deed a cornish broiler, like here, they would come in various colors and could be a RIR/NH/Rock mix.

Those red broilers though don't look that meaty though.
