red jungle fowl

This is my runt pure red jungle fowl rooster runt as in late bloomer and anywaysbhenianwoth three grey jungle fowl hybred hens all of roughly same age . Yes the white one is a grey jungle fowl hybred

i have 3 laying hens,cannot get rid of them,the other hens are young,some might die,some might live,have to wait and see,i took a pic this morning while feeding them

Glad to see some people raising these birds, I've heard pure ones are quite rare. I have one Polish cross hen with a little Red Junglefowl in her, she's just darling, but I also got a new hen yesterday, who, from the pictures I've seen, looks a lot like a pure or nearly pure Red. But I'm no expert. She was living as a stray before she was captured, but she's in perfect condition and has a surprisingly stocky breast, so she's clearly got good survival skills. What does she look like to you guys?

She looks to me like she is wearing nylons because in the first two photos it looks like she has green legs but in the final pic her feet are yellow.

Could we be looking at two different hens?

Are these beautiful birds good at hiding? I want to get some for my farm, but we have Hawks. We have huge redwoods they can roost in at night.

they are aware about everything,very fast flyers and they blend in but a hawk will take out the small and weak

We have a ton of cover for them (24 acres of walnut trees) so I think they will be fine. Thx swamperkk!!
