Red junglefowl cockerel of unknown age lethargic, somethimes unable to walk, rests often

Could he eat hot dog? Or something like that?

The guys at the boat ramp toss the discarded fish cleaning & left over bait, so I'm thinking you could feed just about anything. However, commercial chicken feed has all the nutritional value a chicken needs. You could keep him on Chick Starter but that maybe pricer than if you switch to Flock Raiser, All Purpose, Multi Flock, Grower, Game Bird but not Scratch which is a treat & low in nutrition. Your guy is used to fending for himself, thinking bugs, worms & fruit so you'll have to go slow introducing feed to him.

We have chick starter, and I’ve convinced him to try it. I’ll try to get my hands on fish.

Don't over do it with the fish, just get him to eat the Chick Starter. You know he'll eat the feed with papaya, so gradually lessen the amount of papaya until he's just eating the crumbles. Another thing you can try is just add some water to the dry feed, make like a mash/oatmeal consistency, see if he'll eat that.

Alright. He is very active and energetic. I’ve yet to give him any fish or meat. I think we should keep him a few days for observation, then releasing him up onto sleeping giant, what do you guys think? There’s already a population of chickens on the giant, so there’s definitely food.
