Oh John... they were so beautiful! That's ok, you can get more. Really, I have some chicks and or hens for you. I just need to see what you want. You were more than kind fixing my Humidaire and I appreciate it.
I need to figure out who is laying what and then come visit.
Next year I want some of your Turkeys. The Black Spanish (?) (the guy that loves you and lets you pet him) they are the ones I want. Just got to talk the hubby into them. He thinks they are mean. I am sure he has to be wrong. That boy was a lover!
Hay there lady.
Is the incubator working ok for you. You said you had a question on it. Call me if you need to. And yes i still need some more hens.
I have about 25 and need to get at least 15 more before hatching season starts in Feb. I have five laying right now and they are some great dark eggs, I have one birchen laying but its like a normal brown egg. Don't know what is going on with that one. The turkeys are great. I have
over 100 running around and they are all my buddys. I don't think I have ever had a mean turkey yet. They might fight with each other but
have never tryed anything with me. I am taking on of each breed to the bird show next week and a pair of my BCM. and some Dark conish.
Hope to see you there. John
Ah John,
You're going to a show? What show and where? You can't leave Katy and me behind!!!!!!!! If I can make it I would love to go and then we can all talk birds -- Meaties and Marans ect...
I can't tell you how the incubator works cause I still haven't played with it enough to know. It sits down their taunting me... I have just been busy and haven't tried much. I don't want to goof it up after all the work you put into it and if it can be screwed up, believe me-- I will do it. I am not mechanical or technical. So I have just waited.
I had big time issues with fox and coyote this year and I don't have alot of Marans left. I think I have 12 total. At least good ones. I have been hatching a ton of them out though. I am not sure if they will be ready to lay by Spring. They will most likely be a month or 2 short of laying. However the ones I have will be laying and I can help you out there will eggs!
We need to talk and see how brown is brown enough for you. I know you only want high quality for your Hatchery so I will have to pick and choose and figure out who is laying what. I am getting it narrowed down.
I have a new coop going up next week so I should have more room to seperate everyone out a find out before spring who is laying the best eggs with the best type.
Gotta run, todays my Dad's b-day and I am in charge of the main course.
