Thank you. We were trying to dig away from the bottom edges to put down hardware cloth today before the cold really hits and we can't even dig. Well, I am glad hubby was driving and did it...he clipped one of the side of the pop door holes and broke a piece that he put on there. Like I said, glad I was not the one. I would never live it down. We didn't get it laid, but tomorrow is supposed to be another nice day, so we should get it done. Wish I had another month of good weather, but I don't think that is going to happen. We are a day closer to the birds getting to enjoy their new digs though.

Made my temporary move last week, and pulled the end off my laptop charger in the process; ordered a new one which came today................. but doesn't work.

While waiting for another, I had to buy one here locally, for $120 instead of $20, but it's returnable.

Closing, no later than Nov 14th, on a new home which has two acres instead of the one I thought it had. I was hoping to stay on the sand in the river valley; but will be away from the insect problems associated with the bottoms and many less predators now that I'm a few miles from the state forest and surrounded by cropland........................ and two acres of prairie soil will grow a lot more graze for my birds than where I moved from.

Will be heading for Crossroads in 7 days; delivering a few birds and hopefully picking up just one or two.

I hope to meet some of you there.

Got bad news folks.... my plans have now been spoiled... My BLR project female, is now officially a male. Course, I thought it was a male the entire time, until the BYC folks convinced me that he was actually a she.... so then got my hopes up (and a new male to replace "her"., not complaining)... and so today, I'm like looks rooish to me... caught, and sure enough, pointed roo feathers... no wonder it took off and started to tower over everybody else...

So anyways, still no complaints from this guy, but I'm in need of more females to project around with...

We've moved the closing date on my new home and chicken facility to today instead of Nov. 14th. After the signing, I'll be setting up the birds staying home with feed and water, loading those going to Crossroads [deliverying some Ameraucanas and Cornish to there], hauling a dog to the sitter, and loading the van for an early start to Crossroads Fri. a.m..

Anyone else going?

Early news from the Indianapolis show is..................... it was packed and they were having a national Rabbit show there at the same time, so it was wall to wall people. Charley is my eyes on the scene and he had some reports, the ICBA had 2 meetings not sure what came out of that except maybe to settle all the bickering perhaps.

The quality of birds Cornish LF of course were so-so except for some darks from one breeder that really stood out. The WLR were ok and there were only a very few whites may 3 or 4 and were seriously lacking, good news for us HaHa. Only about 40 or so there but more than 150 Cornish banty's as is allways the case. anyway maybe when Steve & Gary & Charley return they will have some more to report and a few pic's for us.
