Thank you I have found a permethrin spray and a 13% permethrin flea bomb which I'll use when the new shed is ready. There are still plenty out there, not in the coop now but hiding under brushes and items around the coop. I sprayed the second hatchout yesterday and they all look dead today. The numbers have reduced dramatically but I'm not on top of it yet. I can't believe how speedy they are and how quickly they crawl up your arms. I guess they're hungry now I've moved the chickens. If the smoke bomb doesn't work I'm going to torch it. xIt doesn't say anything on the label for use with livestock or poultry, but it would probably work for spraying inside your coop thoroughly all cracks and crevices where mites can hide as well as on and under the roosts, ceiling, walls, floor around the nest boxes.
Most of the stuff available over there seem to be DE which isn't very effective.
Do you see the predator mites around? No mites seen since I put the predator mite in. I still had some after all the pesticide but the bio control seems to have finished off the last of them so recommend it. Will keep checking.
Permethrin is also a waste of time. Nothing kills these things. Been battling for a year now. Even spent 4k on heat treating our house, still have mites. So sorryWaste of time and money.....use permethrin.
