RED MITES URGENT

Just descovered a few of my chickens with red mites I dont have any of my powder left and it can b for another week
What should I use I hate these little f__k__rs

Do you have any Sevin dust on hand? That will work as well as permethrin. If the red bugs are on the chickens, chances are you are dealing with lice. Check the coops at night to see if red bugs are running around on the perches and legs of the chickens.

Ima order stuff as vets r out of stock for some reason and wont b getting stuff in til next week
I will look at perches to see if there is what will I use and what will I use for the lice I really font want them on my birds

A quick mixture, is 2 cups cooking oil, 1 cup water, and 2 tablespoons dish soap. Spray this all over the perches, and cracks where you see signs of red mites living. At least if you get started with the perch area the birds will be protected at night when roosting, all the holes, the cracks, and walls near the sides of perches. I am dealing with same thing right now. So far my perches are good. I am going to be spraying and cleaning out the whole coop this weekend.
